Its Real CPR Help technology measures the rate and depth of chest compressions and provides audio and visual guidance to help rescuers maintain effective CPR. The device uses CPR-D-Padz electrodes, which feature a one-piece design intended to simplify placement during an emergency. These adult electrodes have a five-year shelf life, while the AED Plus uses replaceable Type 123A lithium batteries with a five-year battery life.

The ZOLL AED Plus is also built for demanding environments. Its IP55 rating provides resistance to dust and water, while its design is tested for shock, vibration, and temperature extremes. Automatic self-testing checks important functions to help maintain readiness between emergencies. Organizations can also choose a fully automatic configuration, depending on their responder and program requirements.

What Makes the ZOLL AED 3 Different?

The ZOLL AED 3 adds several features intended to provide more visual information and simplify certain aspects of rescue management. Its high-resolution color touchscreen displays patient ECG information, CPR feedback, a compression-depth gauge, a CPR cycle countdown, shock count, and elapsed rescue time. Like the AED Plus, it provides Real CPR Help to give rescuers real-time feedback on compression rate and depth. One significant difference is the CPR Uni-padz electrode system. The same five-year electrodes can be used for both adult and pediatric patients, with Child Mode activated for pediatric rescue.
