As AED buyers invest in newer AED technology, they are often curious how to responsibly dispose of their old and even discontinued AED units, batteries and electrode pads.  Our FREE AED Recycling Program is just what you’re looking for!  Through our partnerships with major AED manufacturers, access to lithium battery recycling facilities, alliances with biomedical specialists and AED donation programs we will help reduce, reuse, and recycle.  #AEDRecycle cares about the environment, as do you!

#AEDRecycle accepts the following Automated External Defibrillator types:  LIFEPAK, Philips HeartStart, ZOLL, Defibtech Lifeline ReviveR, Cardiac Science Powerheart, Physio-Control, Medtronic, Welch Allyn, Cintas, HeartStream ForeRunner and Laerdal.

Recycling Made Simple

NOTE: If multiple battery packs are to be shipped together, please isolate packs from each other using plastic bags, foam, bubble wrap, or other material to prevent battery contacts from shorting together and to protect the pack housings from damage.
  1. Contact an AED Consultant at AED One-Stop Shop using the form below (must agree to the Terms and Conditions) for clarification about which items should be shipped and which non-hazardous items and can be disposed of.
  2. You will then receive the shipping address for the FREE AED Recycling Program
  3. Remove the batteries from your AEDs and include them in the box. Most customers ship only the AED device, carrying case and batteries. Customers often discard the electrode pads, papers, discs, cords and rescue kits so as to save on shipping cost.
  4. Ship to AED One-Stop Shop via only ground shipment as the lithium batteries are typically prohibited from being shipped by air transportation.
  5. Customers are responsible for the shipping charges but do not incur any processing or disposal fees.
